I walked back into the room after visiting the hospital wing to explain what had happened. "Sorry fer not knocking i was told to come strait in after my visit to the hospital wing. I apologize fer disturbing the class and i will have to grab my things and i will be leaving. U wont have to worry abot me fer a while.

"You are not Going anywhere Ms Granger, unless this classes finish, I hope you are fine with It?

I'm sorry professor but i was instructed to grab my stuff and go back to the hospital wing.. " I grab my stuff and walk twards the door

" Professor," I said from my seat in the back row, " couldn't the effects of weather charms effect us as well?"

"Yes Ms Riddle, it can Effect you, because when you cause something to rain or stop raining, it obviously effects you directly or Indirectly" I answered and waited for her to ask if she has any more doubts

" Yes, but couldn't it change something somewhere else," I said sitting up in my chair, " for example, if you started it to rain in the dessert, could it possibly stop raining in Rain forest?"

" i dont think so riddle" I sat there silently

" Ah, why do you think that?" I asked nicely.

"Beacause a Spell has its own limitations, you cant expect a spell to cover up the entire world?!"

Ashe smiled a little, giving it alot of thought before just blurting out an answer. "Honestly professor, I don't believe that the rules and laws of nature can be changed at all. The reason the world seems to be fighting back against the muggles is because they are 'breaking' the rules, not changing them. The ways that they affect the environment around them are largely permanent, wherease weather charms, as i understand, are not permanent and in the long run i highly doubt a wizard would have the strength to drasticaly change the climate of any one region to such a point that it would damage the balance of nature."

For the same uses that any other charm is used. Either for creating a more comfortable lifestyle, or for offencive or defencive use. Say you are working outside on a summer day around noon, it is very hot, a light breeze would be wonderfull. Or, perhapse you are caught in a forest during a lightening storm, putting you in danger of being trapped in a forest fire. The ability to calm the upper atmosphere and restore balance could save your life. In the reverse situation, say you are walking in the woods on a clear day and run across an angry creature. Assuming the creature is too big/fast/strong for you to handle, a quick bolt of lightening or clap of thunder might be just the distraction you need to flee. Offencively...well whos to say you couldnt do in he who must not be named with a minature tornado or a bolt of lightening through the skull? Of course, you'd have to actualy hit him with the charm...

That is a good point, though, there is a good answer as well." Ashe finaly stopped to take a breath and sat up straight. "Hurricanes are not just rain, but wind and rain and often lightening and thunder. It would be far too complicated for one wizard to concentrate on and hold stable by himself, and while theoreticaly it could be made easier with a group, even so it would be exhausting to keep it going long enough to do near as much damage as a normal hurricane would. It is simply impractical." He couldnt help but have a slightly self satisfied look on his face as he finished up his answer "As for ministry cencoring, again i dont quite see a need as truely dangerous charms would be impractical to cast and hold for any length of time. However, one simply way would be to have the users of weather charms registeres and licenced so that they could be tracked, and only lower level charms can be practiced in populated areas. The same tracker that is used for underage magic restriction could be used for this i think."

Ashe smiled politely and nodded a thank you to proffesor snape. He was actualy hopeing for a followup, though he didnt want to be seen as a show off either so maybe it was better to let the others get a chance.

Ashe, do you know any Weather Charms as of now?

He shook his head. "None at all, though, wind has always been a great facination of mine. Perhapse I might pick up one or two of that nature in the comming months." He chuckled "Always wanted to try surfing... better wind better waves after all."
