Ashe's wand did not come from Olivanders, like the other children's did. No, those wands wanted naught to do with him. He tried nearly all of the wands in the place to no avail...infact the man's shop was in such a bad state it looked like a dragon sneezed. Ashe and Maurice desided to go a place somewhat more exotic. Maurice knew of a shop in Knocturn alley that only sold wands with exotic cores. Ashe shruged his shoulders and trudged on. He just wanted to get home. Sure he was excited to get his wand, but he didnt like people very much.
Knockturn alley was just the place he wished to be right now. Generaly devoid of intelligent life, and full of little quirks. As they walked into the store, Ashe noticed a woman tending the store. She looked to old to be an atendant and held to arge a presance. She must have owned the store. "Ma'names Persephone, chil'e." She gave a sweet smile, though her eyes always caused her to look cinister. She had the look of an old voodoo queen, and was to be just as feared if not more so.
"Ashe Mimmeaux..." He smiled. He didn't know the woman, but she seemed familiar. In fact she was the families only tie to a rather influential pureblood family. He didn't know about her because she is a deatheater and his mother didn't want him exposed to her. Maurice is infact her son. "Looking for a wand, Mam..." He muttered quietly, his korean acent comeing through slightly.
She had just the one for him. It had been in her family for a while, and the only people it seemed to bond with were the black sheep. Those who were neutral on pureblood supremacy, and just about everything else. Those who were just too odd for the rest of the family.
The wand itself was a 14" Holly wand with a veela hair core, but the wood of the wand from tip to grip was carved with dragon scales, the grip capped in gold, and the whole thing sealed with lacquer containing gold flecks. In the butt end was a large flawless emerald which when the light hit it you could almost see a snake. The case it came in matched it, though it had now jewels. She handed it to him and grinned, though the grin faded when Maurice glared at her.
As Ashe tried it out, absoutely nothing happened. Persephone just laughed. "It likes ya chil'e. Have it...'s free." Without another word the woman faded into the shadows of the shop, but not before placing a white leather bag lined in green velvet on the counter with the other stuff. Couldnt let him go without a wand pocket.
After a few moments trying to understand her he just sighed, shruged, and left four gold for the woman for her troubles. He slipped everything into his bag and the two of them started back to Diagon alley. They still had to get his books.
