Accio (The Summoning Charm)

Accio is a charm which summons an object to the caster position ,at any significant distance.The caster must know the normal area of the object in order to summon it, and the farther away it is, the harder it is to summon , However , it does not matter how far the object is, as long as you have it clearly in your mind, you should be able to summon it with ease.The spell should be casted by the caster pointing his or her wand at the desired item or naming it.

Depulso (The Banishing Charm)

Depulso is a charm which is opposite to the summoning charm which summons object from a distance.Depulso is known to be a counter-charm for accio.Because Accio summons objects , and Depulso sends them away.This spell can be used to negate the effect of the summoning charm known as accio , if Accio's been casted , the summoning process can be prevented and it might be possible that the charm might throw the object away if casted with a little more force/power than accio.

I have a little poem on Accio and depulso which took me hours to remember , I sort of wrote it during the time when I played HP-OOTP Game.

Accio & Depulso , The Poem
Accio ye summons ,
depulso ye throws.
You two are opposite ,
Just like two sides of a coinage.
Accio ye be a summon charm ,
Where depulso be a counter-charm ,
Accio you end with a O ,
Depulso you end with a O, oh!
You two seem like similar things ,
Then why are you both different?
Accio you'll summon stuff into my arms ,
& Depulso you'll slip the stuff outta my arms!
Even though you two sound different ,
you two are nearly same like identical twins!

Spongify (Cushioning Charm)
The Cushioning Charm incantation which is Spongify , creates an unseen softening effect on sitting and landing surfaces. It actually cushions objects to make them more comfortable , If the spell is used on a mat , it will cause a purple mist to cover the mat, which, when jumped on, will bounce the player high into the air. It is primarily used in broomstick manufacturing to make the brooms more comfortable for riders.

Protego (The Shield Charm)
The Shield Charm is a charm that creates an magical barrier which deflects minor to moderate hexes as well as physical objects. Spells will sometimes rebound off it directly back towards their caster. Other times they will ricochet off in other directions or dissipate as soon as they hit the shield, or around the caster's sides. It will not repel any effectively cast Unforgivable Curse. The incantation for this spell is Protego. The Shield Charm is a moderately difficult spell to master.

The Bubble Head Charm
The Bubble-Head Charm is the most effective spell for breathing underwater or in any environment where fresh air is at a premium. It causes a protective bubble to form about the caster's head, like a helmet. This bubble may allow the caster to breathe underwater or protect the head from falling objects.There's a similar spell known as Ebublio , but it rather explodes instead of creating a bubble head charm.

The Memory Charm (Oblivate)

A Memory Charm is a spell used to erase some or all memories from an individual's mind. The incantation for this charm is Obliviate. Memory Charms are generally intended to erase a specific memory. They are regularly used if a Muggle witnesses something related to the wizarding world; the Ministry of Magic has Obliviators remove their memories of the event, such as if a Muggle sees a dragon , When particularly intense memories need to be erased, it often leaves the victim disoriented for a short period of time.However, if performed improperly, a Memory Charm can erase significant portions of an individual's memory and cause brain damage, with difficulty in recovery.

The Tickling Charm is a spell that causes a victim to buckle with laughter. This is usually used as a diversionary tactic in duels , it is not known how this affects a person who is not ticklish. The incantation is Rictusempra. "Rictusempra" is derived from the Latin "ridere," meaning "to laugh at, laugh" and Latin "semper," meaning "always, thoroughly."

The Hover Charm is a charm used to make objects levitate. It is one of the earliest recorded Spells of the Wizarding world.It is a basic spell taught to first years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The hand movement is very specific: a swish and flick. Its incantation is Wingardium Leviosa.Wingardium Leviosa conjures white feathers as well as levitating objects. Wingardium Leviosa is a combination of "wing" and "levitate."

Alohomora

(AL-o-ho-MOR-ah)
Alohomora is a charm
that opens locks. It is also able to open doors locked by Colloportus.
Some unknown spells make locked doors impervious to Alohomora.
Descriptions of this spell are written down in several books,
including The Standard Book of spells,
grade one, where it is described in chapter 7 and a spellbook that can be found in the Hogwarts Library.

Banishing Charm
reverse of summoning charm
Sends an object away from the caster; the target object is said to have
been Banished.

Colour Change

The Colour Change Charm is a spell that causes the object to
change colours.

Confundus Charm
The Confundus Charm is a jinx that
causes a person or animated object to become highly confused. There
appear to be varying degrees of inflicted confusion, ranging from
tricking a person about a specific issue to making them lose all
semblance of common sense, even to the point of endangering themselves.The incantation is "Confundo."

Engorgement Charm

The Engorgement Charm (Engorgio) causes the target to
swell in size. It was first mentioned by Hermione Granger,
where she suspected Rubeus Hagrid's pumpkins had been under magical "influence."

The Flame-Freezing Charm is a charm
that changes the effects of a fire, so that instead of burning, it feels
like a warm summer breeze. The caster may feel a gentle tickling
sensation. The incantation for this spell is unknown, but it has a nonverbal form.

Freezing Charm
The incantation for the Freezing Charm is Immobulus.
According to Horace Slughorn, a Freezing Charm will
disable a Muggle burglar alarm. A Freezing Charm stops things
from moving. It strikes resemblances to the Flame-freezing charm, which negates the
effects of fire. Hermione Granger used the Freezing Charm on
two pixies
after Gilderoy Lockhart set them loose and
failed to stop them.

Growth Charm
The Growth Charm is a charm
which causes the target to become larger.

Imperturbable Charm
The Imperturbable Charm is a spell
that creates an invisibile barrier around a target. Molly Weasly used this charm on the kitchen door at 12 Grimmauld place to prevent the children
eavesdropping on Order of the phoneix meetings.

Locomotion Charms
~Locomotor...~
Moves an object. Typically, the spell word "Locomotor"
is followed by a target word, which is the object to be moved.
~Locomotor Mortis~
Locks together the legs of the victim, making him or her unable to walk.

Memory Charm

A Memory Charm is a spell used to erase some or all memories from
an individual's mind.

Patronus Charm
(pa-TROH-nus)
A Patronus Charm is an insubstantial animal form protector
created by the advanced Patronus Charm spell,
and one way to defend against Dementors
and certain other Dark creatures. The spell requires the use of a wand,
concentration on a powerfully happy memory, and the incantation "Expecto
Patronum". Presumably, certain physical gestures with the wand are
also required, but they have not been specified. The Patronus Charm is
advanced magic
and difficult to master, especially in emotionally difficult
circumstances.

Scouring Charm
The Scouring Charm is a household charm
used to clean an object. The incantation for this charm is Scourgify.
Another similar spell for such a purpose is Tergeo.

Shield Charm

They're there when you need them always there to help out.
Wether you're in need to get bigger or protect agianst danger, Charms will be at your side.
Need to reach something? Use Accio! In need of protection? Use Protego
Charms will forever be there wen in need just wave your wand and say that specail word

I walk in the class , and handed my last project ,

The Top 10 Charms , and why

1. Accio , because summoning can be used in favor loads of times.
2. Aguamenti , because water can be used to turn off the fire related spells.
3. Depulso , because banishing something or someone can be used in favor quite many times.
4. Confundo , because confusing some creature or someone makes it easier to attack first.
5. Diffindo , because ripping something is normally needed for ripping a bag or something which is hard to open.
6. Evanesco , because vanishing a target , makes it hard for someone to reach it.
7. Expecto Patronum , because defending against dementors is normally required , because they're pretty dangerous.
8. Expelliarmus , because disarming a target during duels is something which leds to your victory instantly but not if the victim can cast spells in their minds.
9. Immobulus , because freezing a target is helpful sometimes to capture them.
10. Impervius , it makes something repel , and repelling something can obviously used in favor.

Alex Kudo walked in, her Slytherin cape swishing in the wind. She was determined to help them stay in the lead, even if they won a few competitions here and there. She sat down at her desk, giving it a good wipe with her left hand. She brought out her Ash with Phoenix Feather wand and carefully placed it on the table.
"Sorry I have arrived halfway through the class but I have only just been enrolled." Alex explained, awaiting further instruction.

"I actually haven't been in any previous classes but I will try what I read from a book..." Alex breathed in deeply, procuring her wand. She stood up, looking at a book further down the line of desks. She tamed her wand in the direction of it and breathed out slowly.
"Wingardium Leviosa." Alex uttered the words, sending the spell down her new wand and toward the book. There was a slight shudder from the book which made Alex grit her teeth in fear of what would happen but then she sighed with pure relief when the book started to float slightly. Remembering to keep her concentration, Alex lifted the wand slightly higher as to raise the book further. After a few seconds, she lowered her wand slightly and allowed the book to fall with a small thud back onto the desk, raising dust into the air.
"Sorry..." Alex chuckled nervously at the slightly sloppy landing and sat down, putting her wand back onto the desk.

Alex nodded, standing up, book in hand and wand in pocket. She turned and walked out of the classroom, pulling the giant door open and closing it behind her with a resounding bang.

I waited for professor to say so , looked up at the roof , "Thank you professor!" , I said as I smiled , took the books , got off my seat , and walked out of the class , happy because I scored the highest in charms.
