The lion spun to face him as he stepped closer, they growled at one another before he pounced. The lion didn’t have time to defend himself before his teeth cut through the fur and skin to the lion’s veins.
The shift of the wind brought a new more appetizing smell. Spring grass, roses, and a waterfall all swirled in one; it was the sweetest scent he’d ever come upon. He dropped the half drained lion at his feet and ran to find the source.
He found it coming from a limping teenage girl in a small clearing. She wore a long pale pink fitted sweater, matching high heels, a white miniskirt, and a matching belt draped loosely around her waist. Her blonde hair swirled in the wind blowing her scent everywhere, her summer blue eyes narrowed slightly as she scowled.
“When I get back they are so dead.” She mumbled to herself, staring in disgust at her surroundings. He found himself unable to move away from her and the temptation that her blood caused, which had lessened slightly, or closer to her and the other temptations that grew by the seconds.
She felt eyes watching her; she turned but could just barely make out the silhouette of someone else in the dark. She could of course tell by the lean and muscular outline that it was a guy.
“Who are you?” She asked breathlessly.
“Names are unimportant, don’t you think?” He chuckled darkly before spinning around and walking away. Running away from every enticement this girl created.
“Wait!” She called hurrying after him as fast as she could go with a limp; afraid to be left alone in the gloom but also drawn to him by such a powerful unseen force that she couldn’t stand being away from him.
Looking over his shoulder he saw the girl following her face scrunched up in pain. He paused to let her catch up seeing as though she would be following wherever he went.
“Sit down.” His alluring voice commanded. She compiled her legs stretch out before her. He kneeled down and examined the leg that caused her limp. Her teeth clenched together, her hands balled into tight fists as he prodded part of her lower leg.
He stared at her in disapproval. “You’ve been walking on a broken leg.”
She shrugged “It’s not like I had a choice.”
He sighed then realized he had used up all his air supply now either he had to take a breath so he could talk or not breath and don’t talk. He locked his muscles together taking in a slow breath. Her scent thrashed through him as he tried not to attack.
He pulled her into his arms standing up, he knew it was dangerous but he didn’t have much choice, he couldn’t just leave her here. She screamed in surprise and clung to him tightly.
“What are you doing?” She asked wide-eyed.
“I’m not about to make you walk.”
“Oh umm…thank you?” It sounded like a question.
He shook his head, “close your eyes.” She closed her eyes and leaned her head against his neck. The wind whipped around them creating the sensation that they were flying. She wanted to look and see if that was the case but he had said to close her eyes.
A minute passed by before he stopped, his car was parked along side the road. She felt herself being placed on something leather. Her eyes flashed opened just as the driver’s door closed. He turned the key and speed off, down the street.
“Where are we going?”
“The hospital,” was his brief reply.
The ride passed in silence. When they pulled up to the hospital he pulled her into his arms and walked through the doors towards an unoccupied room. He left her on the bed to go talk to a nurse outside the door. She looked up when he came back in.
“They’re calling your parents now, I’m leaving you with another doctor.”
Another doctor, he had said; which meant, “you’re a doctor?” He didn’t seem like one.
He nodded; the dark brown faded from his eyes and turned to a blood red. She stared at them slightly terrified. He turned to leave.
“Wait…” she could not seem to let him go.
“Yes?” He asked looking back at her, his eyes prodding her expression. She found herself enchanted by them rather than scared stiff like she was a second ago.
“Will I see you again?”
He sighed sadly but a small smile played across his face. “Most definitely.”
“When?”
“Soon my dear…soon,” and he left without a backwards glance. She twisted around at the sound of a car starting and watched as it drove away.

All finished ready for grading. :D
