| Bayern Munich playmaker Franck Ribery will miss the Champions League final after he was handed a three-match suspension by UEFA on Wednesday.
Ribery was sent off for serious foul play in the first leg of Bayern's semi-final victory over Olympique Lyon, and European soccer's ruling body has confirmed he will be banned for three games.
Ribery did not play in the second leg of the semi-final in Lyon on Tuesday which Bayern won 3-0 to complete a 4-0 aggregate victory.
The German side, who have three days to appeal against the decision, will play either Barcelona or Inter Milan in the final on May 22 in Madrid.

| hmm, big blow I would say..Ribery + Robben On either side was deadly dangerous...its said Chelsea are on the trail for him next season..I dont know ...but will they be appealing against this decision? | |
