According to proper sentence structure, "My Last Work" means he will not be doing anything more, if it was "My Most recent work", what you said would have made proper logic

And for defying a Professor, thrice in the forums, that too, a head master without proper logic, reasoning or thinking, 25 Points from Slytherin!
