Care for Magical Creatures Class 8

I walked on to my desk at the front of the class. I noticed that everyone sat down already so i started my class. First of all i apologize for the lack of classes, i said, due to sickness i wasnt able to teach. The points for last class have been handed out.

Now let us start with todays subject. Can someone tell me what a Crup is?

I slowly raised my hand and answered. "They will also eat almost anything and although loyal to wizards they will become very ferocious when it comes to Muggles. For this reason t own one you have to pass a test to see how well you can control one in Muggle-inhabited areas."

A Crup is a wizard-bred dog that strongly resembles a Jack Russell Terrier, except that a Crup has a forked tail. They are wizard-bred dogs, since they are extremely loyal to wizards and ferocious toward Muggles. They will eat almost anything.

Crup owners are required by law to remove the tail of the animal when it is six to eight weeks old, using a painless Severing Charm in case they are noticed by Muggles. A license from the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures must also be obtained, and the owner must pass a test to see if they are able to control the animal in Muggle-inhabited areas.

I know this is off topic but Proffesor Hagrid what kind of magical creatures have you ever owned? and what has been the most dangorous?

Alyssa walked in hesitantly and looked at the professor with an apologetic face. She was late. It wasn't her fault. The magic staircases had decided that they wanted to go where ever they wanted to go and she had a little trouble finding her class. "Sorry..." she said. "W-won't happen again!" She scrambled to her seat.

"What is the lesson, today?" Alyssa whispered to a near-by student.

Luna looked at Alyssa. "Proffesor Hagrid just asked us what a Crup was." Luna answered quietly.

"Oh... okay," Alyssa said. "Thanks." A Crup? What was a crup, again? Alyssa knew the answer to the question but she had forgotten... Wasn't it some kind of wizard bred dog? Yes... yes... that was right. It was a small wizard0bred dog that had a forked tail. She knew a family member that had one of them. Alyssa raised her hand.

"My Aunt has a crup... He's very sweet! But once, a muggle ventured out onto her property and the little guy bit his leg off. Poor muggle...."

"Thats sad..." I said. My father told me Crups weren't to dangerous. "The Crup was originated in southeast England. Or so it says in Fantastic beasts and where to find them, it also says that the test to see if you can own a Crup is simple."
